14th-16th Downtown Guided Tours
As part of Preservation Month we will be offering guided tours of historic downtown Winchester. Times to be announced.
17th - Kentucky Civil War Trail
As part of Preservation Month we have organized a series of activies inluding the following:
Civil War Encampment - 9:00am-3:00pm - Hourly shuttle service to/from the Bluegrass Heritage Musem, 217 S. Main, to the Civil War Fort at Boonesboro.
Civil War Talk - 3:30pm - Bluegrass Heritage Museum, 217 S. Main, (speaker to be announced.
Civil War Wedding - 5:30pm - Bluegrass Heritage Musuem, 217 S. Main. Lite supper to follow.
17th Movies on Main - National Velvet
2:00pm & 7:00pm - Leeds Center for the Arts, 37 N. Main St. - Movie on Main presents Elizabeth Taylor and Mickey Roney in "National Velvet". Tickets are only $3 Adults, Children $1. For more information call 744-6437.
17th - 44th Annual Charity Horse Show
5:00pm - Clark County Fairgrounds, HWY 15 - Sponsored by the Clark County Saddle Club. Health certificates and negative coggins are required on all horses. For more information contact Donnie Woosely at 745-4913 or Jim Woosley at 744-6163.
18th - Clark County Saddle Club Fun and Game Show
1:00pm - Clark County Fairgrounds, HWY 15 - Any and all breeds are invited to participate. Events include Lead Line, Stick Horse Race, Ride a Buck, Speed Barrell, and much more! 24th & 25th - 18th Century Trade Fair
Fort Boonesborough State Park - Visit a social, polictical, and business gathering of merchants, traders, artisans, Native Americans, militia members, beggars, longhunters, scouts, and other characters, Listen to period music, visit camps and shop for 18th century goods as you compare life today to life 225 years ago. This event is free with paid admission to the Fort. For more information call 859-527-3131.
31st - Summer Art Class Sign-up Day
11:00am -2:00pm - The Guild House Gallery will host a special day of fun and games as they take sign -ups for the Summer Art Classes conducted by the Winchester Art Guild. Classes are available for everyone ages 2yrs- adults. We're sure we can find something fun for you! Fees include all supplies needed for the class.
