Join the Leeds Center for the Arts in celebrating local artist Melody Farris Jackson. Her work has been on display in the Leeds lobby gallery since February and will come down at the end of this month. The public is invited to view the artwork at the reception, and talk with Melody about her work.
Melody Farris Jackson is a designer and artist. She has worked on creative concepts for companies such as Nike, Siemens, Toyota, and NASA. She has served as faculty for both the University of Kentucky’s College of Design and Easter Kentucky’s University’s Art & Design Department. She received her Masters of Architecture from Cornell University. As an artist, she has had work displayed in galleries in New York and Kentucky, and had work displayed in the 2010 Governor’s Derby Exhibition. Currently she works at Nomi design in Lexington, Kentucky. Melody resides in Winchester with her husband, Ron, and two children, Maria and Wyatt
