ART AND DIALOGUE
October 14, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.

Join gallery curator Rebecca Campomanes in a discussion of Kevlen Goodner’s artworks “Lock Up the Vote,” “Mr. Smith’s Neighborhoods,” and “Black and Blue.” These pieces (and more) are currently displayed at Leeds and are illustrations for articles written by Phillip Bailey for Louisville Magazine in 2015. Goodner and Bailey depict three issues that black communities throughout our nation face, but with a specific focus on people in Louisville.

Rebecca will facilitate dialog around the artwork and articles in a book club-like format. Anyone wanting to participate in the discussion is asked to read the articles before hand.

The articles can be found online using the following links:

This event is free and open to the public.
